Along with reception decorations, it is also possible to customize the ceremony to reflect the overall wedding theme. With mountain views in the background, adding in a simple arch and flowers allows for the natural beauty of Colorado to come through.

All About The Details

This past weekend at The Boulder Country Club, we had the pleasure of hosting the Eller/Hornett wedding.  The couple put a lot of thought into their decorations, from the door seating chart to the little hornet on the cake, you can clearly see the work that went into this wedding in the photos below.

Keeping Cool In The Summer Heat

Summertime is the most popular time to have a wedding…it is also the hottest time of the year.  So what can you do to keep your guests nice and cool during your ceremony and reception?  Lots of things!  Below are just some ideas to keep in mind when planning your summer wedding.

Fans can be a life saver during an outdoor ceremony and they can also double as your programs!

When it’s bright and sunny outside, sunglasses can surely save the day.  This will insure that your guests are not blinded by the sun and they can concentrate on your ceremony.

Umbrellas are also a great sun blocker!

On an especially hot day, you should make sure that your guests stay hydrated.  An idea is to have bottled water or a beverage station outdoors for everyone to enjoy.

By being prepared for the heat during your outdoor wedding ceremony and/or reception, you will keep your guests cool and happy!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Lights

I don’t know what it is, but there is something truly magical about walking into a reception space that is decorated with twinkle lights.  And there are so many different ways that you can use these little twinkly lights to make your wedding stand out.  From hanging from the ceiling, wrapping them around trees or incorporating them into your centerpieces, the possibilities are endless!

This next picture is at The Boulder Country Club.  We used twinkle lights and some sheer fabric to create this gorgeous look!

Red..White..and Black

This past weekend at The Boulder Country Club, we hosted the Black/DeCastro wedding reception…and what a gorgeous reception it was!  Our dining room was filled with black and white swirly patterns, lanterns and roses galore!  Here are just a few of our favorite pictures from the wedding.

Unique Ceremony Backdrops

This season, we are starting to see more and more creative couples coming through our doors to plan their weddings with us.  Which gave me the idea to start looking into more unique ways that we can customize their ceremonies to really fit them and of course give them gorgeous photos to remember!

With all of these ceremony backdrops, we can do them here at The Boulder Country Club!

Creative Table Number Ideas

Getting creative and personalizing your wedding is one of the many things we absolutely love to see here at The Boulder Country Club!  Table numbers are just one more way that you can add your personal touch to your wedding reception.  Below I have put together some fun table number ideas that would be cute for your wedding.

At one of our past weddings this summer, the bride put together table numbers with a photo of her and the groom at the age that corresponded with the table number.

Another cute idea is having the table numbers on candles.  You can combine your centerpiece nd table number, which is a great way to cut costs as well!

Any item at your wedding should tie into your theme.  This is a fun idea for a travel or vintage themed wedding.

Below is another idea from a wedding we had last year here at the club.  They definitely kept to theme with their table numbers and the place cards/gifts that told their guests where they would be sitting.

There are countless ways to make your table numbers!  But no matter what you do, keep them unique to your wedding..even table numbers can be something that a guest walks away remembering.

Bridal Party Gift Ideas

Your maid of honor and bridesmaids have been assisting you through out the entire wedding planning process, helping you with all the small details and tasks that were assigned to them.  A nice way to say a heartfelt thank you like a personalized gift for each of them.

When my sister got married, she gave each of us a tote bag with our names on them.  She gave us our bags at the rehearsal dinner and inside was the jewelry that we would wear on the wedding day, some other little goodies and a nice thank you note for all we did to help her prepare for the wedding.  It was such a nice gift and I can’t tell you how useful that bag is in my everyday life!

These wine glasses are such a cute gift to give to your bridesmaids.  You can have their names added to the glasses so they each have their own unique one.  For your flower girl?  A small glass with their name on it and drawing of their dress!

If you are experienced with Do It Yourself projects, you can pick up some wooden picture frames and put your bridesmaid’s names on their individual frame.  If not, you can always custom order a gift like this.  Make sure to include a special picture of you and your bridesmaid, maybe a picture from when you two were growing up together, an exciting vacation or another memorable time that you shared.

Including a personalized note or letter with your gift is a great idea.  Thank your bridesmaids for all their hard work in making sure that your wedding day was truly memorable.  They all took the time to be there for you on your special day and this is a great way to put into words how much that you appreciate them.  Trust me, it will be something that each of them cherish for a lifetime.

Send Out Those Save The Date Cards!

Your Save The Date card is your first real invitation to your friends and family, telling them that you want them to attend your wedding.  There are so many different options on how to make your card unique and memorable and give your guests the distinctive information that they need to know to mark their calendars for your upcoming wedding!  Your Save The Date will need to include your wedding date and if you have booked your ceremony and reception site, put that information on there as well.

Below are just some creative ideas to look at for inspiration.

Sending out a Save The Date in a card form is a traditional way to get the information to your guests.  There are so many ways to make your card unique for you as a couple and to fit into the theme of your wedding.  This is a cute idea, especially for a summer wedding.

You can also tell a little story with your card, making it unique to you as a couple.

If you want to make your Save The Date extra special, you can make them yourselves.  There are countless DIY ideas that you can use to make your card!  For example, what a cute way to tell your guests that you will be “tying the knot”.

If you have the time to spend on making your Save The Date Cards, this is such a cute way to tell your friends and family the date of your wedding.

You don’t just have to send out a card, another cute idea is to make a magnet with your information on it.

There are so many creative and unique ideas to create your Save The Dates!  For more ideas and inspiration, check out of Pinterest page.

Just a Little Bit of DIY Fun!

Purchasing decorations for a wedding can be costly, especially if you really want to go over the top with your decor.  But it doesn’t have to be that expensive if you put your DIY (Do It Yourself) skills to the test and come up with cute and unique ideas for your wedding.

Here at The Boulder Country Club, we have seen some very crafty ideas!  One of the things we see the most is colorful lanterns that can be hung from any of our chandeliers.  You can order these online or if you have a truly talented member of your family or wedding party, they can also be made by hand.

Another popular DIY project is making your own place cards for the guests to know where they are sitting during the reception.  You can tie this into your theme, as we have seen here, for a fall wedding a bride made little leaf place cards and hung them on a tree.

You can also tie in your place cards AND a gift for your guests to take home with them after your wedding is over.  This couple did just that, attaching their cards onto little bottles of champagne.

One of the most popular DIY projects is making centerpieces.  You can have so much fun making unique and colorful centerpieces for your wedding!  This is something you can definitely get creative with.  We have seen many amazing DIY centerpieces at The Boulder Country Club.  Here are just a few below…

These are just some of the great ideas that we have seen at The Boulder Country Club!  You can check out more photos on our Facebook and Pinterest pages.  Creating DIY ideas is such a fun process and at the club, we would LOVE to help you with any ideas that you may have!!!
