Creative Table Number Ideas

Getting creative and personalizing your wedding is one of the many things we absolutely love to see here at The Boulder Country Club!  Table numbers are just one more way that you can add your personal touch to your wedding reception.  Below I have put together some fun table number ideas that would be cute for your wedding.

At one of our past weddings this summer, the bride put together table numbers with a photo of her and the groom at the age that corresponded with the table number.

Another cute idea is having the table numbers on candles.  You can combine your centerpiece nd table number, which is a great way to cut costs as well!

Any item at your wedding should tie into your theme.  This is a fun idea for a travel or vintage themed wedding.

Below is another idea from a wedding we had last year here at the club.  They definitely kept to theme with their table numbers and the place cards/gifts that told their guests where they would be sitting.

There are countless ways to make your table numbers!  But no matter what you do, keep them unique to your wedding..even table numbers can be something that a guest walks away remembering.

More Photos From Our First Wedding Of The Season

A couple of weeks ago, we hosted our first wedding of the season!  It was such a fun wedding and I was able to capture some great images from the event to post on our blog for you all to enjoy.  Below are some more gorgeous photos taken by Jenae Lopez, the photographer that Tanner and Tracy picked to document their special day.

A big thank you to Jenae Lopez for these beautiful photos and to Tracy and Tanner for hosting their wedding here at The Boulder Country Club.

The Do’s and Don’ts Of Wedding Registry

DO

Do make sure that you are registering for wedding gifts at least 4-5 months before your wedding.  You want to give your guests plenty of time before your big day to get you a gift.  It will also help your guests when getting you gifts for your wedding shower as they can simply go off your registry list.

DON’T

Don’t just register at one location.  You will be hard pressed to find everything that you will need and/or want at one store.  A great example would be to register at a home goods store, like Bed, Bath and Beyond as well as a store, such as Target, that has home goods and other items you want.

DO

When registering at these stores, make sure that your guests can go online and look up your registry.  This is important when dealing with out-of-town guests, especially those that can’t make it to your wedding.  They can go online, order your gift and have it shipped straight to your home.

DON’T

Don’t forget about those basic items that you will need.  Most people think of just the big items, like kitchen electronics, home furnishings, etc.  Make sure you remember the other things you want, such as towels, bed linens, everyday dishes and more.  When combining your home as husband and wife, typically the individual things you own won’t match each other, so have your guests help you get those things for your home

DO

Do include items in all different price ranges.  You may really need that $200 vacuum, but your co-worker or friend probably won’t be getting you that item.  Include gifts on your registry under $25, under $50, under $100 and so on.  Chances are you will get that more expensive item from a family member, but make sure to register for items that anyone will be able to afford.

DON’T

Don’t just register for gifts that only you will enjoy.  Register for gifts that one, you can enjoy together, and two, you can enjoy separately.  The bride may really want that mixer, but her husband may not really care about it.  If he is asking for a new lawn mower, register for it.  Having things on the list you can both enjoy will make you each very happy.

DO

Do write thank you notes!  If you are getting gives well before your wedding, you should be writing thank you notes then.  During the week before and the week after your wedding, it is doubtful you will have the time to be writing thank you notes, but try not to wait more than 3-4 weeks after your wedding to send out thank you cards.  Make sure to get them out in a timely manner as a thank you note goes a long way to your friends and family that joined you on your special day!

Send Out Those Save The Date Cards!

Your Save The Date card is your first real invitation to your friends and family, telling them that you want them to attend your wedding.  There are so many different options on how to make your card unique and memorable and give your guests the distinctive information that they need to know to mark their calendars for your upcoming wedding!  Your Save The Date will need to include your wedding date and if you have booked your ceremony and reception site, put that information on there as well.

Below are just some creative ideas to look at for inspiration.

Sending out a Save The Date in a card form is a traditional way to get the information to your guests.  There are so many ways to make your card unique for you as a couple and to fit into the theme of your wedding.  This is a cute idea, especially for a summer wedding.

You can also tell a little story with your card, making it unique to you as a couple.

If you want to make your Save The Date extra special, you can make them yourselves.  There are countless DIY ideas that you can use to make your card!  For example, what a cute way to tell your guests that you will be “tying the knot”.

If you have the time to spend on making your Save The Date Cards, this is such a cute way to tell your friends and family the date of your wedding.

You don’t just have to send out a card, another cute idea is to make a magnet with your information on it.

There are so many creative and unique ideas to create your Save The Dates!  For more ideas and inspiration, check out of Pinterest page.

Choosing the Perfect Venue

Once you become engaged, one of the first things you need to do is pick the right venue for your ceremony and location.  Venues get booked far in advance, so the earlier you can choose your location, the better.

Choosing the right venue is so important as it will be the setting for the whole evening.  It needs to be able to hold all of your guests comfortably, have the space and ambiance that you are looking for and most of all, be able to provide you with all the things you want out of your wedding.  Most people are starting to veer away from the large hotel ballroom setting and choosing different venues such as mountain resorts, boat houses and country clubs.  These spaces provide a more intimate setting for you and your guests.

Something else to think about is if you want to have your ceremony and reception at the same venue.  Here at The Boulder Country Club, we provide both sites to you.  We don’t just have a beautiful outdoor ceremony site, we have 3 different locations to have your ceremony outside!  Each of these 3 locations provide gorgeous views and a perfect backdrop for all your wedding photos.  If you are looking to have your ceremony inside, we can do that to, still giving you beautiful mountain views.

Choosing where to have your reception is so important as the reception site will provide you with the space, set up, menu options and so much more.  You want to have all these things in your mind when picking a venue.  Most places offer different wedding packages at a set price and you can pick the package that best fits your budget.  The Boulder Country Club provides you with 4 different wedding package options, ranging from bronze all the way to platinum!  They all contain wonderful hors d’oeuvre and entrée options, a champagne toast, wine service and more.  Our experienced wedding consultants sit with you and will help you choose a package based on what you are looking for and your budget!  These packages can also be customized to keep you on point with your budget and we are here to help in any way possible!

You can see now how important it is to choose the right venue for your wedding.  There are so many details to think about and at The Boulder Country Club, we strive to help you with those details while making sure that we provide you with your dream wedding!

Time to Choose Your Wedding Party

Choosing members of your wedding party is a big step in the wedding planning process.  Being a member of the wedding party is  a huge honor for any friend or family member that you ask.  But it’s also a very big responsibility, especially for the best man & maid of honor, so that is something to keep in mind when you decide who you are going to ask to be involved.

When picking your maid of honor and best man, think about those people in your life that you are the closest with.  Traditionally, it is a sister or brother, but times have definitely changed.  You want to ask the person that you believe will be able to handle not just the responsibility that comes with the job, but the person that you truly want in that position.  Your best friend in the world can be like family and therefore they may be the best person to choose to stand up next to you on your big day.  There are many jobs that the maid of honor and best man take on, but those will be discussed in detail later one.

Once you have chosen your best man and maid of honor, you need to decide on the rest of your bridal party; bridesmaids and groomsmen.  These members of the wedding party are typically your closest friends and other family members.  They also take on a good amount of work when it comes to your wedding, like help planning the engagement party, bridal showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties and much more.

One of the hardest parts of choosing your wedding party is that you feel like you may offend a friend or family member if you don’t ask them.  This is an understandable concern, but try not to let it get to you.  Remember, this is your wedding day and the people who you have standing up next to you at the altar should not just be the most important people in your life, but those that love you and want to be there to share the love with you and your partner on your wedding day!
